What if celebrationscould go further?

Yes. You can create a celebration on someone else's behalf. They'll be invited to accept it into their own Kinder Change account.

Once accepted, they'll have their own Celebration Journal for that celebration. Where recipient payouts apply, they'll connect their own bank account and withdraw the funds themselves.

Once contributions have been made, they are treated as having been given for the person originally nominated. That person becomes the protected beneficiary of the contributed funds — meaning the funds remain designated for that intended person — which helps honour the intentions of contributors and protects the intended recipient.

You cannot change the beneficiary yourself after contributions have been received. If you entered the wrong contact details, or there are exceptional circumstances, use Need help with the recipient? in your celebration, or contact Kinder Change Support. We will review the situation and may be able to correct the contact details of the same intended person.

Changing to a different beneficiary is not a self-service option and is not guaranteed.

You can resend the invitation. If contributions have already been received, the funds remain protected for the nominated recipient and do not automatically become available to the organiser.

If the email address is wrong, the recipient declines, or they cannot complete payout setup, use Need help with the recipient? in your celebration so Kinder Change can review the issue.

Yes. You can create and prepare the celebration before inviting them.

They'll only know about it once you choose to send the invitation.

Absolutely — you're welcome to create and manage multiple events through your Kinder Change account, including celebrations for yourself and celebrations you've created for someone else.

Some families use Kinder Change for birthdays, milestones, experiences, group gifts and seasonal celebrations throughout the year.

Each event is managed separately, with its own messages, contributions and withdrawal flow. Celebrations are kept as memories on your dashboard — and, where a celebration was accepted by someone else, in their Celebration Journal — so important moments can be revisited while new ones continue.

Yes — family and friends can contribute from different countries as long as card payments are supported in their region.

Kinder Change is designed to help loved ones feel part of a celebration, even from far away.

At the end of a celebration, you can send a personalised wrap-up email to everyone who contributed — thanking them for being part of the moment.

You can also share what the contributions helped towards, any memories or photos from the celebration, and whether part of the total was given back to charity.

No — signing up and creating a page is free. Contributions are processed through Stripe. Kinder Change takes a small fee from the final total when funds are released on withdrawal, to help cover secure payments, running costs and continued improvements to the platform.

Any fees are shown clearly before you confirm withdrawal, so there are no surprises. You can read more in payments & payouts.

Contributions are processed securely through Stripe. When the authorised person confirms withdrawal — the organiser for their own celebration, or the accepted recipient when the celebration was created for someone else — payouts are released through Stripe to their connected account. Contribution amounts always stay private.

After you confirm withdrawal, funds are released through Stripe to your connected payout account. If this is your first payout through Stripe, it may take longer while Stripe completes its initial review. In some cases, this can take up to around 7–14 days. Later payouts usually follow your connected account's Stripe payout schedule.

Exact timing can vary depending on Stripe's verification and your bank, so we can't guarantee a specific arrival date. This is a normal part of Stripe's payout process — Kinder Change doesn't control when money reaches your bank.

You can check your payout status at any time from your Kinder Change dashboard by selecting “Manage payout details”.
