Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They help websites remember preferences, keep sessions secure, and understand how a service is used.

We aim to keep cookie use proportionate — only what helps Kinder Change run well or improve thoughtfully over time.

These cookies are needed for core platform features, such as:

• keeping you signed in securely
• protecting accounts and sessions
• remembering basic preferences required for the site to function
• supporting payment and payout flows where applicable

Essential cookies cannot be switched off without affecting how Kinder Change works. They are not used for advertising.

If you choose Accept after opening a recognised Kinder Change link in a school newsletter, we may place a first-party cookie in this browser for about 30 days. It remembers which link you used: the school the link was for, the campaign, and the time of that visit. The school does not send us your details, and we do not use this to build an advertising profile.

Choosing Essential only, including changing to it later, removes that campaign cookie straight away. Choosing Accept again does not restore a visit that has already been removed. A later recognised campaign link can set the cookie again if you choose Accept.

If you later create a new Kinder Change account in this same browser, while that cookie is still there, we may keep a copy with the new account. We use it to see which newsletter links lead to new accounts and to celebrations those accounts go on to organise. We do not add it to an account that already existed, and we do not replace it if you arrive from a different link later. Changing your cookie choice does not delete a copy already saved with an account. That copy stays while the account exists and is removed when the account is deleted. You can still ask us to delete your account or other personal information. Some information may remain where the law requires us to keep it.

Separately, Vercel Web Analytics measures pages visited. It does not use an analytics cookie. It is anonymous, it runs for every visitor, and this cookie choice does not turn it off. It is not used for advertising, and it is not tied to your account.

When you first visit Kinder Change, a small cookie notice appears at the bottom of the screen. You can choose Accept or Essential only.

Your choice is saved in this browser, and a Cookie preferences link stays available so you can change it. Choosing Essential only removes the campaign cookie. Choosing Accept again does not bring back a cookie that was removed. Neither choice turns off the cookieless page measure described above.

Clearing site data for Kinder Change in your browser also removes the campaign cookie and shows the notice again.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as the platform evolves. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.
